1) CIEH Food Safety – Level One

 

Introduction to Food Hygiene

    Overview

    The new CIEH Level 1 awards in food safety are run as half-day courses, suitable for a variety of candidates, including new employees with minimal or no prior food safety knowledge, employees handling low-risk or wrapped food or those who work front of house, such as waiting or check out staff, as well as back of house such as kitchen porters or warehouse staff.

     

    The training programme covers the following topics:

  • Food Safety (food hygiene, hazards, responsibilities)
  • Personal Hygiene
  • Cleaning
  • Contamination
  •  

    Qualification information

    The Level 1 awards are sector specific and the training program has been developed to allow courses to be tailored to meet the needs of staff working in catering, manufacturing or retail environments.

    Course duration: Minimum 3 hours, half-day course

    Assessment method: 15 multiple choice question examination

     


     

    2) CIEH Food Safety – Level Two

     

     

    Fundamental Food Hygiene training for all Food Handlers Food hygiene certificates include:

  • Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering
  • Level 2 Award in Food Safety for Manufacturing
  • Level 2 Award in Food Safety for Retail
  •  

    Overview

    Food hygiene and safety training providers have identified a growing need to make food safety learning more relevant to specific business environments to increase effectiveness. The CIEH Level 2 Awards in Food Safety have been designed to address the increasing food safety and hygiene needs of the catering, manufacturing and retail sectors.     Designed for anyone working in a catering, manufacturing or retail setting where food is prepared, cooked and handled.

    3) CIEH Health & Safety In the Workplace – Level One

     

    Introduction to Health & Safety

     

    The new CIEH Level 1 award in Health and Safety is run as half-day course. The

    qualification has been designed to meet the needs of those who are entering the workplace

    for the first time, either as part of a work experience programme or at the start of

    employment, by providing an awareness of key health and safety issues and the part that

    they should play in keeping themselves and others free from harm at work. It will also benefit those who are starting a new job – as part of an induction programme.

    Examines Health and Safety from a supervisory perspective

    Supervisors have a moral responsibility to look after the health and safety of employees. This qualification will enable managers and supervisors to improve the health and safety culture of their organisation, whatever its size or activity.

    6) CIEH Professional Trainer Certificate

     

    The Benchmark Trainer Skills qualification for CIEH registered trainers

    Overview

    This qualification is essential for anyone wishing to become a CIEH registered trainer. It is ideal for anyone who needs to understand the basics of training practice or wants to refine their training techniques. It encourages a flexible approach to training delivery which takes into account recent advances in accelerated learning and neuro-linguistic programming (NLP). Successful candidates will be able to structure, design and deliver interesting and stimulating training.
